A farewell: reflecting on an incredible journey

The project started in March of 2024. Since then it monitored more than 800 events, in all European countries and in more than 400 cities.

After careful consideration, I have decided to shut down this project on July of 2025. While the growth and engagement over the past year have been incredibly rewarding, in a way that I am more confident than ever that the Tango community needs such a project, it became clear over time that the necessary interest from organizers that would make the project viable, simply wasn't there.

Still, I'm proud of what was achieved, clearly reflected in last year's statistics; especially considering that all of this was accomplished without any backlinks or amplification from event organizers:

• Unique Visits increased by over 600%, showing strong interest and organic engagement.
• Google Clicks grew more than 2000%, reflecting meaningful user interaction.
• Google Impressions rose by over 1000%, extending the reach far beyond expectations.

Tango Events and Memories is high on the Google Results with more than 20 keywords being at the top 5 positions.

The project run surveys and data analytics, identifying interesting trends in the Tango Community. All these have been shared on the project's Facebook page (now also shut down).

We served as a portal for Tango Events in Europe in a categorization per type, location and country, month and even 'early bird' dates, that was embraced by the thousands of monthly visitors, and the hundreds of registered users - sending even up to 500 visitors to the organizers' own websites and facebook pages.

The end

Coming to the end, the data of the site is now purged, while this farewell page remains as a testament of what has been achieved.
